A Telegram Mini App for your bots

Your bots.
Your voice.
One place.

People write to your Telegram bot. You answer them as the bot, in an inbox that looks and feels like Telegram.

Your own account and phone number stay private.

What you get

Everything you need
to chat as your bot.

BotsGram is built for Telegram, so it feels familiar from the first tap: a chat list, bubbles and themes, for every bot you run.

One inbox per bot

Switch bots like Telegram accounts.

Each bot gets its own chat list, and every person their own chat. Switch bots in Settings; unread badges show which bot needs you.

Voice, photos and files

Say it however you like.

Record voice messages, on iPhone too, then seek and change the speed. Albums show as a mosaic with a full-screen viewer, and you can paste images or drop files in.

Getting started

Three steps to your first chat.

Nothing new to install. It all happens in Telegram.

01

Create my bot

Give your bot a name. BotsGram suggests a username you can change, or connect a bot you already have with its token.

Open BotsGram
02

Confirm in Telegram

Telegram checks the username and opens your new bot. Tap Start there, then Open BotsGram to come back.

Telegram does the checking.
03

Share your bot's link

Send people your bot's link. When they write, their chats appear in BotsGram, and you reply as the bot.

Your first chat is on its way.

Good to know

A few things you might be wondering.

Short answers about bots, chats and privacy.

What is BotsGram?

BotsGram is a Telegram Mini App for chatting with people as your Telegram bot. Each bot gets its own inbox, and you switch between bots in Settings. It works in Telegram on your phone and on your computer (Telegram Desktop).

Do I need a bot already?

No. Create one from just a name, and Telegram finishes it in a few taps. If you already have a bot, connect it with its token from @BotFather. If another service already receives that bot's messages, BotsGram asks before taking over.

Does BotsGram answer messages for me?

No. You write and send every reply. BotsGram gives you the inbox and sends your replies as the bot.

Is my own Telegram account private?

Yes. People see your bot, never your own Telegram profile or phone number. Bot tokens are stored encrypted.

Can I reply without opening the Mini App?

Yes. Choose Reply in bot chat for a bot and start that bot in Telegram. Its private messages are then forwarded to you there; reply to one, and the bot answers that person. Groups, channels and messages that can't be forwarded still arrive as BotsGram notifications.

How do channels and groups work?

Add your bot to a channel as an admin to see its posts. Telegram only gives bots posts made after that. In a group, a bot with Group Privacy on only sees messages that mention it, reply to it or are commands. To see everything, turn off Group Privacy in @BotFather (Bot Settings → Group Privacy) or make the bot an admin.

How do Bot-to-Bot chats work?

Both bots need Bot-to-Bot Communication turned on in @BotFather (Bot Settings). Then they can find each other in search and message each other. Search covers bots connected to BotsGram, not every bot on Telegram.

Will my old Telegram chats appear?

BotsGram shows the messages your bot receives while it is connected. It can't bring in older history or your personal Telegram chats.

Which languages can I use?

English, Русский and O‘zbekcha, both in the app and on this site.

How do I get help?

Message @BotsgramSupportBot on Telegram. Open the chat, tap Start and describe what you need help with.
